Sophocles

“I would prefer even to fail with honor than win by cheating.”
Sophocles
What I think this quote is trying to say is that if you fail with the most honorable fail you will be a winner no matter what. But if you win by cheating that you will be a loser with a win that you didn’t deserve. For example if you were in a soccer game and you kept pushing people to the ground to get the ball and when you did that you said that they stepped on you foot then you were most likely to win a failure. But if you had done the right thing and lost the game a winner then you would have been a winner the whole time other than winning a loser. If you were able to ever choose whether you would want to win a cheater or win a winner you should always go with the team that doesn’t with by cheating. Go with the team that loses with honor not the opposite of that because if you win by cheating your not a real winner.
