Ear, Nose and Throat
(ENT) Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities: Ear, nose, and throat 
specialist, also known as otolaryngologist or ENT specialist, 
are medical doctors res
ponsible for surgical and medical treatment of the ears, nose, 
and throat, as well as 
the related head and neck areas.
Salary: $205,000 per year
Education: Specialists must complete at least five 
years of training in a surgical residency. This comprises 
a one year course in general 
surgery and a 4 year course in ENT.

Reflection: I would not like to be an ENT Specialist 
because I don’t like looking into other people’s ears. 
I also wouldn’t like to be an ENT Specialist because 
you have to take a 5 year college in surgical and medical 
school. I mean the pay is good but looking inside other 
peoples ears no thank you.
