Optician

Duties and Responsibilities:

measure clients’ bridge and eye size, temple

length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and optical centers or eyes, using measuring

devices. Verify that finished lenses are ground to

specifications. Prepare work orders and

instructions for grinding lenses and fabricating ey

eglasses. Assist clients in selecting frames

according to style and color, and ensure that frame

s are coordinated with facial and eye

measurements and optical prescriptions.

Salary

: Median Pay (annual): $33,330

Median Pay (hourly): $16.03

Education:

High school diploma with on-the-job training or

apprenticeship; or certificate, associate’s degree

or bachelor’s

I would not like to be an optician because it would be a really boring job, just looking at peoples eyes not that interesting to me its just my opinion.
