Ambulance Dispatcher
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate radio, telephone, or computer
equipment at emergency response centers. Receive re
ports from the public of
crimes, disturbance, fires, and medical or police emergencies. Relay information
to law enforcement and emergency response personnel
. May maintain contact
with caller until responders arrive.
Salary:
Hourly rate $10.19 - $22.31
Overtime:
$15.90 - $35.20
Education:
Regardless of previous training, ambulance dispatcher usually
receive on-the-job training on how to respond to in
coming emergency and non-
emergency and non-emergency telephones calls in their specific work
environment and how to use a particular truck or car.
