What I think that this quote is trying to say is that when you live off of being good you are able to live no matter what happens. But if you don't do good that means your really not living with yourself. when you are able ti live with your self it means that are doing something good because you are able to to live with your self. When you are doing something bad you are destroying your self slowly that doing the good thing.
