Duties
and Responsibilities: A Health Science
Librarian provides access to medical information through books, pamphlets,
journals, tapes, multimedia presentations, and the internet. Health Science
librarians help Health providers, patients, and students sort through the vast
amount of information available.
Salary: There Salary Average is about $58,000 a year.
Education: Students must graduate from High School, taking classes
such as English, math, typing, and science. A four-year bachelor’s degree is
then required. Including courses such as, science, and computer science. A
master’s degree in library science (MLS) is mandatory.
Reflection: I would not
like to be a Health Science Librarian because you would basically need lots of
things in high school and it will be very stressful that’s why you see lots of
people with white hair because of all that stress the get. That is why I would
not like to be a Health Science Librarian.
